Beautiful author’s book Joy and Sorrow contains a selection of twenty Czech and Slovak folk songs about love and sadness. The book contains illustrations and original font created by the author Martina Hamouzová. The book is screen printed and hand bound in limited edition of only 20 pieces which makes it a real treasure.

Martina Hamouzová was born in 1981 in Kladno, Czech Republic. Graduated from Faculty of Arts and Design in Usti nad Labem Graphic Design and Graphic Art School Hellichova in Prague in the field of Restoration and conservation of paper and Book Design. She attended internships at Fachhochshule Dusseldorf and the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava. Now she lives and works in Prague.
