For the occasion of Fumetti Festival in Nantes, EDITION LIDU presented the revolutionary editorial concept of almost infinite books to roll. The concept created in 2014 by Ludmila and Sylvain Favardin specially for EDITION LIDU uses the POS printer with thermal printing technique normally ment for printing receipts at cash desks. EDITION LIDU first devoleped this idea to publish a unique collection of Pocket Comic Books by 6 artists and illustrators, many ideas pop up when working on the collection such as creating the World´s Longest Live Printed Book during book fairs and various cultural events. "We wanted to offer to visitors a workshop where everyone can be part of a unique long book printed by innovative printing technique. During 3 events, untill now, Milano Design Week (2014), KomiksFEST in Prague (2014) and Fumetti in Nantes (2015), we made people draw their Super Heroes and with collected illustrations by over 300 artists, editors and visitors we progresively create the World´s Longest Book. The book is live printed on the last day of each event on one continuous sheet of thermal paper. At the moment the longest book has over 30 meters..." says Sylvain Favardin.
