8 wrestlers + writing improv + live publishing by edition lidu
The Catch d'écriture consisted of 8 masked wrestlers/luchadorsand, who were alowed to battle only with words. Each couple of wrestlers had few words and an image as an instruction to improvise their texts directly in front of the public. Dj Grizzly was there to rise the tension between the wrestles, who even improvesed over the text of their opponent. Once their texts were ready, they pushed the button and their texts were directly printed on our customised POS printer, each wrestler read her/his text and after every battle the public screamed for the winner, who goes to the final. For us all wrestlers and organizers were winners as they truly created a wonderful and dynamic cultural night full of fun and improvisation. Check yourself in our photostory.
The atmosphere was amazing, the speed and tension was there for us as well, as we had to make everything ready to publish directly every text created during the night. At the end of the evening, visitors left with the live published Scrollino by edition lidu with all the texts from the event.
The original Scrollino book concept, Live Event Scrollino InterfaceTM, screening, publishing performance and book design was created by Ludmila Favardin and Sylvain Favardin within edition lidu. The Catch d'écriture was also a kind of prelaunch of our newest Scrollino project. Soon we'll tell you more, check up the photos from the soirée below.

El Pepito was the only wrestler who had the writting assistant, anyway each wrestler could dictate their own style to make the show unique. The artist and Scrollino inventor Ludmila Favardin (on the right) watching the show and making ready for the publishing performance by edition lidu.

The most fun was, when the wrestlers improvesed over the text of their opponent. The public could follow that evolution through direct screening interface created by Ludmila & Sylvain Favardin (edition lidu).
Ludwig von Pleier had definitelly the most original mask and suprisingly calm attitude.
