The Scrollino story from Milano
The Scrollino adventure started in fact in 2013, when Ludmila and Sylvain Favardin first printed books with termal POS Printer. First collection of Pocket Comic Books (Scrollino predecessor) where published by edition lidu in 2014 for the occassion of the Fuori Micro at Milan Design Week 2014. Great feedback of the visitors made the artists reflect on how to make the book-object better and improve the design, the fonctionality and the printing technique for color printing. After few years of experiments and development Scrollino is born in 2016 in France, folowed by the sucessful pre-launched exhibition at le lieu unique in Nantes (France). Scrollino, enterily created by Ludmila & Sylvain Favardin, is an exciting journey of research, design and experimentation with paper and printing techniques, resulting in an unexpected yet fully user friendly mixture of art, literature and book design. The inventors set out for the Scrollino International Launch Tour in September 2016, Ludmila and Sylvain Favardin travel to many places to show the incredible possibilities of Scrollino for creative publishing, exhibitions, workshops and live printed events. The creators returned to Milano to launch the new Scrollino design, once again for the occassion of the prestigious Milano Design Week 2017.
