For this world premiere, illustrators and comics artists competed on the stage to create a Scrollino of 3 meters long that was live printed and published on the stage. First, our guest artist Pauline Aubrey draw an illustration as a starting point of the whole Battle. For duels full of surprises, the public participated to choose the topics and constraints that our artists-Scrolliners had to incorporate to their drawings (such as the first drawing, the main topic TIME, an action RUN, etc.). Each artists had a size of 8 cm x 50 cm long to create a story or a comics in a very limited time of 8 min, so you can imagine it was a real challenge. After each battle the public voted for the best performance. And as a cherry on top, all stories were printed in front of the public and published in a limited edition of a 3 m long Scrollino.
Paul d´Orlando was the host of the evening and presented the Scrollino Battle rules and the Scrolliners. Yes, we like to play with words, so Scrolliners are artists-wrestlers using the Scrollino to compete.
